Oregon Scientific WMR100N Weather Station Review:
This weather station is absolutely ideal for the amateur weather watcher or meteorologist. This product from Oregon has a fully functional weather forecaster. It will measure not just the temperature and barometric pressure but the wind speed, direction, wind chill, humidity, rainfall and dew points. It can then draw bar graph to show the historical data for barometric pressure and rainfall for up to a period of 24 hours. This weather station can then be connected to your home or work PC via the USB connection. You can download the latest weather data collected from the weather station. The main unit also contains a radio controlled clock and alarm. Weather alerts can warn you to certain weather conditions when a certain criteria is met for example low temperatures.

Joe Amadeo: This station was a good seller at WeatherBuffs.com for a while. But at one point, we had trouble with its software crashing Windows. After a couple of customers had the same problem, we decided to withdraw it from our offerings. Also, the base unit, in our opinion is a very odd duck.
In this price range of about $150-$180 street, we now only recommend the La Crosse WS-2811U-IT, currently at $199.95 and the Honeywell TE-831 or TE-821 that are about $150.00 or less. The cabled Davis 7425CS might stretch the budget, but it is a good alternative if you don’t mind putting a hole in your wall!
